Latest update to Valence 4.0 includes iAdmin Desktop and more The latest build for Valence Framework 4.0 (4.0.20140421.0) is now available. In addition to minor bug fixes and adjustments, this build includes two new apps:
- Nitro iAdmin for the Desktop* – our popular mobile app for managing basic IBM i functions on the go can now be run on your desktop or laptop! Answer jobs in MSGW, monitor performance, reset disabled users, vary on devices, view/reroute spool files and much more.
- Spool File Viewer* – a simple app for users to view spool file data within the Valence Portal, and optionally download to PDF. Authorized users can also use this app to answer print writer messages.

Upgrading is easy! If you have installed an earlier version of Valence 4.0 — even if you’re only trialing the framework — Valence now includes a seamless updating mechanism that makes applying updates a snap. All you need to do is go to the Valence download site, obtain the latest release for your IBM i OS level, unzip and run. The program will automatically detect you already have Valence installed and update the Valence program objects without touching your data. *Note: Nitro iAdmin and Spool File Viewer are premium apps which will require an Enterprise License to run once the 90 day trial period expires.
